I'm from the UK and basically I was considering going on a tour around Asia this September such as Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore and Bali (I don't know the exact route and order yet as haven't searched into it properly) and then going onto Australia.
I would being going into STA travel for them to help me sort this trip out as I know I probably would do something wrong and would personally prefer the support! Just wondering if anyone is thinking of doing something similar this September?
Hi Dude, if you wanna go around asia, dont forget to visit central java and Jogjakarta Indonesia. There so many beautifull place there especially you can visit the great Borobudur Temple. I recommended you to stay in -snip-

Hey, that sounds like a great trip! I'm from the UK too and have been thinking about doing pretty much the same places around September time as well.
To be honest I haven't really planned anything yet either as I'm not really how and where to start 😂 But I'm definitely wanting to go 👍🏼
If you wanna go around Asia do not forget to visit Incredible India. Last year I was go there and I enjoyed there a lots there was many amazing places to visit like Rajasthan, Taj Mahal, Shimla, Jammu Kashmir etc.
I'll be off to Bali end May. Unwind and relax.
If anyone is visiting Singapore, do keep in touch!
I did Australia last year but am looking at doing south east asia in sept then heading to new zealand just after!
in Australia i just went with the flow but I don't know if thats such a good plan in Asia haha
how long you thinking of going for? x
I've booked something similar through STA - 6th October, I start in Bangkok and do a Bangkok-Bangkok tour for 30 days (Indochina Discovery). On 5th Nov, direct flight to Sydney to start off in a hostel for 7 days & then... who knows?!
I've had a few negative comments from other travellers about the whole 'going through a third party' thing, but to be honest, it's making me/my family feel more reassured seeing as I have never travelled before.
Shame our time doesn't align!
There is nothing wrong with joining a tour!
You made the right decision. Although I mostly travel independently, I sometimes join tours. There is nothing wrong with that. It could be that joining a tour is more convenient, cheaper than doing it on your own, and safer. I have friends around the world, some of whom I met on tours.
When I first traveled to Africa, I joined a tour to get the lay of the land. What I saw made me comfortable to travel on my own on the continent. I often make use of day tours, even if the tour isn't in English. Use whatever means to get where you want to go. You'll have a grand time.
