Hi there!

I am planning on travelling from January 2017 till i run out of money. I mainly want to go to america and see pretty much everything and then go on to other places. I'm a fairly keen photographer and would love to be able to explore with my camera. I'm a 22 year old female and honestly, i am scared to do it alone, but atm i have no ties keeping me here in England (west yorkshire). I am thinking of going with Real Gap, or something similar but it seems a lot of money. I am not really sure where to start with it all either, wondered if anyone had any pointers. a good route to take? places to stay? how much money, has anyone done something similar. I would love to know more. And if there's someone that is the same as me, wants to do something but don't want to do it alone, i'm here!!

the first step is to start with the macro. will you do mainly photography? What do you want to take pics of?

Hey!

I am an 18 year old girl from the Netherlands. I would love to travel with you. I don't have a plan either, if we travel together we could make it kind of a roadtrip in the states. You could make great pictures that way and it would actually be my favorit kind of travel.
You can contact me through facebook if you want. My name is Nabila btw

Since budget is an issue then why are you choosing the US?

And why are you nervous about going to a developed western nation that speaks the very same language, wears the very same clothes, listens to mostly the very same music, mostly eats the very same food, watches the very same movies, etc. etc. etc.

Why not go to a part of the world that is waaaaay cheaper and waaaaay more foreign than what you're already used to?

Cheers,
Terry

Patsy, I think Katzgar is referring to the time it took for you to reply and the fact that you're in Huddersfield - some people think that the only thing Yorkshire people eat is black pudding (sometime called blood pudding outside the UK). :)

Try Sharland's in Paddock (I think they have a shop in Holmfirth too) - thirty years ago they had some great black pudding!!
