Hi everyone,

On 12/10/05, I am planning to fly from London to Bangkok and then on 3/11 i will fly out of Sinagapore on to Cairns. Please can someone advise me on how i can get/travel from Bangkok to Sinagapore but looking for the cheapest travel option? I will be giving myself 3 weeks to visit South Thailand and Singapore.

Thank you very much.

Aileen. :)

You can travel by bus from Bangkok to Had Yai, southern Thailand ... and then bus again Had Yai to Singapore. Total cost should not exceed $US50

I suppose u are aware of the political unrest in Southern Thailand. Airasia flys direct from Bangkok to Singapore. Check out the different budget airlines.(airasia, valuair etc.) They have promotions from time to time. And if u can get a good price for Bangkok to KL, or Hatyai to KL, then u just need to take a bus to Singapore. This arrangement may well be cheaper. Oh another thing, its a butt-breaking 30hr bus journey from Bangkok to Singapore.

i agree with jared. Butt-breaking after 30 hours (butt - exercising!)...get yourself relaxed in particular stations - Bangkok - Hadyai - Penang - KL - Malacca - Singapore.

If you are keen on movies, currently there are Holland Film Festival 2005 in Mid-Valley, KL 28th APRIL 2005 - 8th May 2005 http://www.gsc.com.my/version2/intscreen/movies.asp?search=hff

Ditto! Seems like there's always borderland contention somewhere... Makes it fun, right?! Add about $100 USD to the bus price, and you can get three flight coupons from Bangkok Air (called Discovery Airpass). That way, you could do the trip in a couple of hours as opposed to a couple of days if time is a consideration.
