Hey,

I am 25 years old from UK and have sorted a flexible return flight and a working visa and saved £4000 so far for the year to travel around and work (Will this be enough?)

I am going alone so would love to meet some new friends to explore with and for safety etc

Any other travellers going to be around WA in July/August?

I plan on going NT after WA before it gets too humid and hot later on in the year.

Thanks guys :)

At current exchange rates, £4000 is about AUD $7900. At an average (relatively-frugal but doable if you watch your expenses) backpacker budget of AUD $80/day, that'll last you a bit over three months. That's a pretty decent basis to get you started, travelling around for 4-6 weeks to get your bearings and get a feel for the place, before starting to look for work. Obviously, more money is always better, and will allow you more freedom with travelling instead of working, and so I can highly recommend keeping saving as much as you can, possibly aiming for doubling this. That said, this is already well above the absolute minimum you need to be eligible for a WHV, and probably about average for what most people go there with (really no idea there - just going by my feel of figures people report here in the forum).
