Some "travellers" need to get their heads out of their ... No one better than anyone else cause they're more experienced or whatever. Think everyone's forgetting the main point of the forum. We are all here to learn and travel so just stop haha.

The UK can be expensive but does not have to be ALL the time.

Try Googling things like 'Cheap eats in London' - 'Free things to do in UK.' - 'Free museums in London or UK' - 'price of UK beer'.

Check the train websites, advance fares on-line can be a LOT cheaper than on the day.

In London - get an Oyster card for the tube & busses ( & maybe trains too )

Go to the Tower of London website & look for 'The Ceremony of the Keys' - the ceremonial locking up of the Tower. Its free but you have to send them the price of a stamp. Check it out long before you leave home.

London has parks galore, walking is free.

Check theater prices - matinees & last minute buys can be cheaper.

Happy travels & please excuse me if this is all old hat to you.

Steve
