Please, please be careful when visiting the National Parks. I see where another tourist lost his life when he decided to test the water temperature in a Yellowstone mineral springs area. The temperatures are 200 to 400 Fahrenheit in these places with high acid content and they say he probably literally melted once he jumped/fell into the water.

Similar accidents happen when people fall off the edge of the Grand Canyon. And, of course, there are the crazies who think bears and wolves are going to make great background for their selfie pics, not remembering that these are wild animals who can attack at any time.

Lots of opportunity to apply for a Darwin Award.

The stuff I see tourists do sometimes in Banff and Jasper National Parks here in Canada is appalling, especially with kids in tow.

Cheers,
Terry

There is no accounting for taste but offer enough people to Sharks & Crocodiles around Australia & they might not be choosy.

When in doubt, exercise common sense. Obey the regulations and if you aren't sure, ask an official or a local. Checking online before your visit will make your visit safer and more enjoyable.
