Hi Emms,

I've just finished working a ski season in the French Alps. If there's a glacier in the resort then there'll be snow. In France there are glaciers at Val D'Isere and Les Deux Alps amongst other places.

Check out a website on Swiss mountain resorts. I don't know of any, but you could just do a search in Google.

Have fun - the Swiss Alps are beautiful.

Hi Emms

October is a bit early for good skiing. In the past couple years, the first real snow needed for good skiing didn't come before X-mas. But the last 3 years you could ski until End April. For best skiing I recommend March!
As already said in other comments, in Switzerland you can ski year round on glaciers! Personally I wouldn't buy a ticket just to go skiing on a short glacier slope!

But I hope for you that we get loads of powder by October!

Cheers
Kat
