Hey, I'm planning my WHV trip to Australia in 2017/18 (I know ages away) But I'm struggling to find flights/prices. I just need a rough idea of what It would cost, hopefully stopping in Honk Kong (we did contemplate Hawaii). Anybody done similar route? Also any advise in general would be good, where to start in September time, I have a travel mate.
so yeah any advise on anything would be great thanks
Also I was planning on saving around £5000, but would I have to do this separate from buying flights and visa etc? Like buy all that AND THEN save £5000?

Assuming you are in the UK and you are flying from London Heathrow to Sydney and back, via Hong Kong, a rough idea could be GBP 931. All I did was put in a couple of dates (19 Jan 2017 and returning 9 June 2017) and look for a one stopper in Hong Kong. This is with Cathy Pacific using Skyscanner.com. It is possible to do it via Beijing for GBP 611. You could then look for a more open return, a different departure date and the like but it's harder to search for that on-line at the moment because the sites only show journeys up to 12 months away. As an alternative, you could just pop into a travel agent in the UK and ask for a rough idea.
Enjoy your planning!
Ah brilliant!! Thanks very much!
It is depend on your time, sometimes the fare comes up high in almost each year if you are planning to book your holiday in the month of July to August and in December. The best way can be to consult with the expert at -snip- and will get a genuine price for Australia.

Ah okay! I will have to check. I now know some tips on cheap flights but still not sure. Just want to be prepared. Ah shame the name has been snipped!
It was snipped because it was spam. Borisborough's advice was good. If you want a travel agent in the UK to talk to about routes and fares, try Trailfinders or Travelbag. They have physical branches as well as via phone, and can give you useful ideas even if you don't end up booking with them. On the other hand, package tour travel agents on normal high streets tend to be useless at anything beyond a fortnight in Spain.
Ah right okay! Thank you so much, all helpful advise
