I have recently added a number of maps to my maps and started putting the year before the name of the map in its naming, thinking they would order accordingly, that is not the case though, they are in some random order and I can't seem to find a button to choose a way to order them. Thanks for your help.
Try putting a date for the first 'stop' on a map .. & then an earlier or later date on the first 'stop' on another map .. see if that works.
Uff, I am working on maps going back to year 2003 or so, so I don't really have the exact dates, but will give it a go, initially I didn't even notice I can put dates on maps.. Thank you!
Any date will do as long as it puts the map in the order that you want.
Please be aware, using those dates in conjunction with dates in your Blog settings also puts a map in a blog .. you might want to play with that too, or not.
Thanks, inserting dates did put the maps in order, once again, thank you for your help.
So just to clarify on how the ordering works.
First priority is the dates of the stops in the map. So if any date is provided there, it will use that for sorting.
If no dates are set, then the second priority is the time the trip was created, with the most recently created trips showing at the top.
Hope it helps.
Thanks, the second system is kind of useless, as it prevents inserting any long time ago trips retrospectively. I would highly recommend that some sort of alphabetical system could also work. But it is just a thought, I used the dates system and that sorted the maps fine. Thanks again.
