I am doing three months in oz at the start of next year and i was thinking of cairns in feb, but i have heard it is wet season, could anyone say if it is worth going to during the wet season??

I was there in late-March and it rained a lot, but I still loved it. I was walking around in shorts, a tank top and flip-flops anyway so getting wet didn't bother that much. I'm sure there are people on here that know the weather situation better than I, but I really like Caines even though it rained a lot when I was there (and I HATE rain!).

The rain, unfortunately, did make it impossible for me to get up to Darwin and I think it also caused problems for me getting to Alice Springs.

When I went snorkeling a few times it was raining which caused the Ocean to be choppy but still loved that also.

I have heard a few people say it has a great atmosphere, i think you have convinced me to stay there for a bit.

Thanks for your advice
