Where's it going to be held?

O my goodness, I read an article on-line the other day saying that the skalper-prices are going out the roof ! They are supposedly in the ten thousands, or something. Like $10,000.00 plus U.S. per ticket. It is insane! After the skalpers have a go, I'm sure the prices should reduce a bit, tho. Who's planning on going, out of curiousity?

Peace,

Steph

It is being held in Munich (munchen), Germany.

Prices are not as bad as you might think. However, i think you may have missed the boat already if you want to apply officially. Check this link out for all the ticketing info

It's actually being held in a lot of different cities in Germany, although you could be right about the final being in Munich.

I tried to get tickets, together with another tp-er actually. We were in the running for 7 games (that's the max you could apply for) and didn't get any. Major bummer. The tickets were over applied for several times aparently and there are a lot of people that didn't get any. It's kind of weird, since you don't even know which teams you are going to be watching since the draws aren't known yet. There is just so much interest for an event like this though!

Anyway, if you got the tickets assigned, you had to pay for them within a month (at their standard prices). They are assigned to name, so the tickets that people are selling online for those ridiculous prices are actually useless since you're going to have to show id at the gate with your ticket. I can't believe people are actually buying those tickets, especially at those rates. There's going to be a lot of disappointed people out there who buy worthless tickets for 10 times their value!!!

There is another one or two official ticket selling rounds coming up but ticket numbers are going to be limited again and if anything, more people are probably going to try and subscribe to those.... should be interesting!!!

I was aware of the following stats from a drunk convo last night.

8 million people want tickets, 500,000 are available. Rubbish really if that is true.
I am just gonna have to go to Germany and hostel it and follow them from the local bar, hoping that England dont disgrace ourselves once again!

This world cup is an absolute disgrace for ticket allocation. Can someone please explain the benefit of selling tickets before you even know which countries have even qualified for the tournament?

I read from the FIFA website 813,000 tickets were allocated to 10 million applicants.
