Hi this is my first time travelling alone! Paris to amsterdam then italy. Im struggling with Paris, I want to go sight seeing and enjoy the food! Ive read online walking is an easy way of getting around but im not sure whether excursions maybe a better option, saves me from getting lost 🙈my sense of direction is terrible. Ill only be there for 3 days! I dont mind spending a bit of money on good trips but I dont want to fall into expensive tourist traps. If its easy to do by myself. Any help/advice would be great!

The Paris Metro is a great way to get around and all the sights in the city centre are easily connected. Metro maps are everywhere. If you like walking it's quite possible to go around the Louvre in the morning, walk along the Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe, on to the Trocadero and across the Seine to the Eiffel Tower, then catch a boat to either the Musee d'Orsay or Notre Dame (or both if you've got plenty of time). It'd be difficult to get lost; you can almost see each sight from the previous one. Enjoy Paris - it's a great city to tour. :)

In 3 days you can do a lot by your own. Prepare your trip with a travel book, which museum, which walk, which sight. Have a look here: Paris
With a little bit of preparation you will enjoy much more your trip.

And Paris subway is very convenient. There are a lot of metro stations. In case you are lost, go into one of them and look at the map inside to find your best way. There, you can't get lost
