Lima to Cuzco, how long??

I'm planning to go from lima to cuzco to visit mach pichu, and i was wondering how long it would take? I want to go via ica, nazca and arequipa, taking in the sites and stuff at a lesuirely pace. Anybody any ideas??

I am just about to do exactly the same thing so may be able to help.

I am starting in Puno on Sat, taking in Lago Titicaca. From here i will be in Arequipa that I have heard nothing but amazing comments about it, also you can book a 2 day or 3 day trip to Colca Canyon. From Arequipa, and this is from memory, Nazca is 12 hours away by bus. Nazca lines can be viewed from a light aircraft at a cost of $75 US. From here Ica is 2 1/2 hours away, where there a re ruins and sand boarding available!

The bus from Nazca to Cusco is then about 14 hours I THINK, i havent got my book on me to tell for sure.

A direct bus from Lima to Cusco is 30 hours so you are wise splitting it up and visiting these cool places.
