Travel Forums System Talk Issues Embedding Map in Blog on

Hello - I am a new user, attempting to add my travel map in the blog I have created at The website editor allows me to embed via html or a website itself. The latter option works; however, I would prefer to have only the map. I copied over the code directly as instructed, but it just comes up blank. If anyone have experience with this provider or a similar provider and would be able to give me a hand, I would greatly appreciated it. I've asked the same question on forum as well. Thank you in advance,

Thanks for the report and an example page to see it in action!

This seems to be entirely caused by wix, as they put our code in an iframe with a too restrictive same-origin policy, causing an error when the google maps script tries to access the document property.
Travellerspoint might be able to work around this, by proxying the google maps script, but that feels iffy to me.

Might be that Peter can investigate a bit more and come up with alternative solutions/workarounds. (Maybe Google Maps already has a property/setting to work around it?)

<iframe src="" sandbox="allow-same-origin allow-forms allow-popups allow-scripts allow-pointer-lock" data-reactid="[snipped]" width="100%" height="100%"></iframe>

Thank you Sander. I do like the ease of their editor but not at the expense of functionality; therefore, if Wix is the issue, then we may need to find another host for our blog. Just getting started so it is good to find this out before we getting too far. If anyone has any other ideas, I would greatly appreciate it.

I wouldn't yet give up hope on Peter being able to fix this. I haven't seen him post in a few days, so he might be very busy, but I'd at least wait until he replies before you give up on wix. :)

Out of curiosity, have you looked at the blogging functionality Travellerspoint itself provides, and if so, what's missing from that that you're not using it?

You can make your blog here on Travellerspoint and it works great.
