Now, if they only introduce Diet Cherry Coke into Canada, I will be the happiest man on the planet.

I think you can order that at any Jewish Deli in Montreal, although I'm pretty sure it's just Diet Coke with cherry flavouring added. Still good, though.

There's a new Cherry Coke on the market now too! (We got a sneak preview from a friend who works for them, but just saw a billboard for it on Saturday also.) Since we haven't opened the "sample" bottle, we don't know how good it is but... It's a Black Cherry Vanilla Coke. I don't know if it's available in diet though.

Greg, The mission district is great. Lots of good food, cheap. If you get a chance take the BART, Bay area subway. You can get into Berkeley for some pretty good Pub food and Happy Hours. I'm right off the 40th st. station in Oakland. Let me know the next time you come down. Do a quick cook's tour around the Bay.

Great post. San Fran is a pretty awesome city. 'Specially if your into food.

dear greg.
i regret to inform you that due to the salmon wriggling on my back this night, i was unable to focus and read past the point where your started talking about food. i hope that soon i will be able to come back and read your post in full, and i find your comical writing style and crumbly bossman with desk that reminds one of a place to hide a fart quite enjoyable and i wish i had the mental capacity to displace some kind of comical remark or wistful comment. cookie crisp soup with fresh canberry. musty prawns and a moldy chessboard. five finger soup and salad. give as an for it to my and or was were a day from long ago crustacean.

I'm starving actually at the moment. I've just come home from work, paid some bills :(, downed an Efes (Turkish Beer) and have now lost my train of thought (it was only 1 beer so far ).

Oh yes, Coke and Cherry Coke, etc. Personally, I don't mind the odd Diet Coke, and tend to have 1 per day. Down here in Oz, we don't get Cherry Coke, nor Doctor Pepper (whatever that is), just Coke, Diet Coke, and some rubbish called Vanilla Coke (um, if I wanted to taste Vanilla why would I buy a Coke?).

That's all I have to say. I have just received my American Express bill and am still in a state of shock (which tends to happen around this time every month)!
