My advice: pay a little more, and stay in a Best Western, either that or stay in an HI hostel (YHA in Canada, I think HI in the U.S.?).

In responce to the whole mozi plug in things, i think they deinatley work! When I was travelling greece the insects over there seemed to have a magnetic force between themselves and me!Seriously I was getting the most horrendous bits over there, to the point i ended up on antibiotics!Nothing seemed to stop them, not even super strength repellent so we tried these extra stong plug in things with a similar type of name Mozi-away or something to that affect! They stink a bit, but we used to keep them on day and night, and just kept replacing the refil bit and I never got bitten agin whilst I was asleep!!!!So Id definatley reccomend them!!!Just been and bought a new one from the camping shop for my upcoming travels!!!!

Bali - and it involved what we called the Kamakaze Gecko!! you could not see it but as soon as you turned out the light you could hear the light patter of its feet on the head board and then it would just leap onto your face. As soon as you turned the light on it dissapeared. It was a horrible night, that turned out to be funny as I heard my very drunk room mate come in hop into bed and I think I counted about 10 seconds before I heard her screams that something was on her. I could not stop laughing!

That would definitely freak me out! What was it? A Gecko (ie--Lizard)? Did you ever see it?

Living in Cyprus i once had to get a snake out of my parents bedroom. I had to try and pick it up with some bbq tongs and then carry it through the house.

I don't think Dave barbecued it, did he? He used bbq thongs but he didn't mention exactly what he did with it...
