Hey All!

I'm back from France and just wanted to report that I had a great time! The weather (thankfully) held out with just a bit of rain, met some nice Parisian men ( ;) ) and just kicked back! I'll post some pictures on the site as soon as I can! :)

Katie ;)

Okay, okay.....

Let's see...when we arrived, we were worried that we were staying on a street known for hookers and sex shops (which we found out AFTER we booked the place), but luckily, no hookers in site. However, we had a nice view of a Librarie Erotique from our window.

Some fun stories:

I wanted to get a picture of myslef with the oldest tree in Paris, but there was a barrier to get to it, so when I though no one was looking I hopped over the fence to snap a shot. Some weird French man started yelling at me, saying I have no respcet for the tree (he was a local, not a park guy) which startled me. My foot got snagged on the fence and I fell, laughing in the process (my friend was practically on the floor in giggles). Needless to say, no pic with the oldest tree. Hee hee.

One day, my friend and I split up so she could go to the Louvre (which I had already done) and I could go to Versailles and La Defense. In La Defense, I was walking to the metro to go back to the hotel and a cute man approached me. (He wasn't taller than me, so he didn't quite cross the threshold into hot-dom ;) ) He was very nice and we got to talking, and went out for a early drink (not much dirt here, everything was pretty PG).

I tripped out the electricity in the entire hotel when I was blowdrying my hair, which lead to an extremely upset maid coming to our room to yell. LOL, it was funny, but luckily, the power came back in 10 minutes and all was well. Thankfully, that happened the day before we left.

Honestly, I feel in love with the city all over again! I'm actually doing a search for english language jobs in the media there....if Radio France has an international service or something.

So there's a little more detail to the first "tease" post! LOL
