You're 14. Apart from that you tell us nothing else other than you are desperate for a vacation in 'the Albany region'. There are Albanys in Canada, the UK, New Zealand, USA, the Bahamas, Australia and South Africa.

Your age is a big problem. Your lack of other detail means that nobody can advise you of a suitable getaway, even if you were allowed to travel.

Are you perhaps trying to seek advice on how your family can get away for awhile? A little information on your situation would help

Please explain what "VK" means.

Quoting Kathrin_E

Please explain what "VK" means.

VK is the largest European online social media and social networking service. It is available in many different languages and is especially popular among Russian-speaking users. Wikipedia

To the Poster: We really need to know which Albany. My husband is from the Albany, New York region and we might be able to make some suggestions, but if you are looking for Albany somewhere else, it won't do much good for us to suggest anything.

You want to get away. Fair enough . . . away from what and to what end? Do you just need a little break before school starts; are you trying to escape a problem; just need a small adventure; just you or you and your family and/or friend(s)?

Help us help you.

Yes I found that VK - but I still do not understand the headline.

I read it as shorthand for "vacation".

VKontakte is more a Russian than European social network, I think, which doesn't fit the Albany thing so well. :-) I suspect we'll never know - a onetime poster.

Andy, that makes sense. Thank you. We non-native speakers need a little help every now and then...

Traveling with family or close relative probably okay. You traveling alone or meeting up with total strangers could be a big problem!

Need more information!

I'm a native-English speaker and VK meant nothing to me. It's like the military speaking in acronyms . . .
