Hi, I am new to this forum.

Sometimes, other passengers ruin everything!

I'd like to hear your stories. Mine are nothing extrodanary. I am going to the caribean in 4 weeks, and 10.5 hours in a public plane is sending me loopy. Could you lot please remind me that I am not the only one.

10.5 hours on plane eh??

Try a 24 hour bus ride in Argentina, with the problem of getting food poisoning, and then having to visit the buses toilet every 20 minutes as your ass is on fire.
That is the type of journey that sends you loopy!
I will never EVER eat plane or bus food again after that mental scarring!

a private jet the solution?

(shame Concord doesn't fly there anymore in 2 hours)

Hahahahah! Fell off my chair reading that one! I know it wasn't funny at the time, but it sure was funny to read about now! ;)

One time my father and I drove to see my sister in VA, it was a 26 hour car ride...we only stopped to use the restroom-only ate at drive throughs (so we wouldn't lose time) At the time I was pregnant but didn't know it...I was SOnauseous the entire trip...on the way home...we had to pull over every 1/2 hour so I could vomit...Not a pleasant trip at all :(

Sorry if my post sounded a bit snobby, but I hate flying, and was only looking for some advice to get through the journy!

Welcome to the forum dramaqueen :)

As for the long plane ride.. take a music player (iPod or something), so you have a way of shutting yourself off from the world and listening to something you like. In fact, I've been very tempted by the noise-reducing headphones. They are perfect for flights as they just cut out the drone of the plane and make it far easier to fall asleep. Shame they're not the cheapest piece of gear!

Hmm, other travellers annoying me.. the usual knee poking into my chair, young kids climbing over the back of my chair playing pranks.. grrr.. best to not think about it too much !

I agree with the knee-poking in the back as a huge annoyance...also, when people recline too much on a plane. Having long legs, it really gets irritating because my knees touch the chair in front of me if the person reclines too much...not fun for a 6 hr or more journey. Babies yelling also tops my list.

27 hours on a plane next to the UK's fattest, smelliest, rudest man flying from Sydney to London. The girl on one side was very nice, and when we were awake and stopped for an hour at Singapore and Dubai we went for a beer and had a good chat. The rude, smelly bloke didn't say a word until we got to London and asked me if i had far to travel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

F**k me, can you travel any further than London to Sydney. The guy's odour had p*****d me off for 26.99 hours and then he spoke for the first time and asked me a stupid question like that.
