Hi all. I'm new to solo travelling (friends and family sooo lazy), so I thought I'd join TP.

I'll be doing a couple of shortish trips (10-15 dayers. One in the USA, not sure about the other) this year, followed by something longer the next. I'm a bit nervous going solo for the first time so I'm sure I'll be posting some annoying questions. Apologies in advance for this...

Take care, Phil

Hello Phil!
Welcome to TP!:)
Sounds like some great trips! Where are you planning on going in the U.S.?

I've always wanted to head out to Nevada (blame meeting James Ellroy for that one!) so that's the most likely target. I'm looking for a 3 weeker sometime in August. It would be sooner but I'm a bit poor at the moment...:(

3 weeks in NV? Or do you plan on hitting a few other states? There are quite a few on TP that can help with California..and I would be glad to help out with the southwest! Much luck to you!
(Just so you know..August in the Southwest is HOT!)

Hi all. Will be attempting to cram in as much of Nevada, Arizona and California as is humanly possible in 2 - 3 weeks! I'm currently surfing the net (much abused credit card and notepad in hand) checking out flights, possible destinations etc etc. Thanks for the warm welcome

PS - CupCake, I may well be asking for advice! My little part of England looks miniscule compared to the American SW....

Sounds like you're going to have a blast! Just don't forget to bringt the sun tan lotion! I forgot once and I got the worst burn...ick!
