Mike82 has indicated that this thread is about Brazil

Me and my friend have planed a trip to Manaus in the middle of August this year and are hoping someone could give us some help regarding jungle adventures and such. What we want is a 5-7 day tour with simple conditions, but plenty of action(hiking, fishing, climbing etc.) travelling in a kayak, canoe or a small boat. We have been in contact with an agency called Mystery Tours which seems really good, but we haven't booked anything yet. Does anyone know any agencies which organize these sort of trips?

Last year i 've been with my wife and i have great time to terra verde lodge. The place is really nice and you are out of big tourist area ... we were alone with guide and cooking people in the middle of amazonas!

Great time

I give you the link http://www.internext.com.br/terraverde/ing/terraverde.htm

The owner is ZYGMUNT a polish film maker that live in Brasil since long time and bought this area to preserve it. If you have the chance to meet him you'll have fun.

Thanks

Hiya,
I was in Manaus last year, you are travelling in August right?, thats low season in terms of Brazillian tourist industry I think I'm right in saying.
So!, well I think its best you don't book in advance unless you hear of a really amazing company. At this time of year if you have your wiles about you you can get a good price for a trip booking in advance you often get ripped off, I went on a four day trip and paid I think 20% less than a french couple that booked in advance.
My one main piece of advice is shop around get the best trip for you, try and find out how regimented the tour is, some of these things run so routinely that you end up just feeling like part of a crowd...
Please feel free to pm me with any questions I'm a travel helper for this region!
