first of all learn to walk very very very fast!! the big tourist hot spots are not that great ie westminster, big ben, london eye, marble arch-they're more architectural then of real interest and madame tussauds wax museum is hideously over priced.

As for experiencing the londoners life-depends on what youre interested in-try finding acomodation outside of the centre of london and maybe you can get a better view of london life...

im not sure if this is a decent answer.

maybe you can give more details of whatyou wanna see/do/buy/eat etc

Enjoy!

Stay in a crap 1 bed flat, and pay £300 a week for the privilege. Eat eels. Spend an hour on a steaming hot packed tube train for an hour. etc etc etc...

I reckon experiencing a tourist's life in London is a better bet.

ha ha true magykal!

you do have more fun as a tourist-living in london is not all its cracked up to be-rents too high-space is small andd unless you're a millionaire you can bet you'll be livign somewhere dodgy or falling apart! Plus commuting for the daily rat race is a nightmare-average journeys of an hour each way for work-great!!

but if you're on holiday - you do have the freedom of doing what you want and might have accomodation that is more centralised!
