From some on-line dictionary whose name escapes me (even though I just saw it there now...):

Buss \Buss\ (b[u^]s), v. t. [imp. & p. p. Bussed (b[u^]st); p.
pr. & vb. n. Bussing.]
To kiss; esp. to kiss with a smack, or rudely.

"Nor bussed
the milking maid." --Tennyson.

"Kissing and bussing differ both in this, We buss our
wantons, but our wives we kiss." --Herrick.

Mayor Tremblay is all about the double kiss. You gotta laugh at this one, especially if anyone out there is familiar with the antics and mannerisms of the mayor of Montreal. This story really made me laugh! (and yes, an appology to all those out there who see the shock and horror to this story)

Hey man, I wasn't the only one. There were a lot of confused people amongst the onlookers that day at the Old Port of Montreal. There was even a French guy (European French, not French Canadian) who not only didn't know that there were Dutch royalty, but asked me whether the Dutch Princess lived in Canada! I thought that it was the stupidest question I'd ever heard, until I did a little research on the Princess and found out that she was actually BORN in Canada! Interesting, isn't it?
