Try putting your wastebin on your desk and label it "Incoming Mail".

Select an email victim and update that person on everything you do in very frequently - eg. "I am going to the toilet now", "I am just getting up from my desk to stretch my legs"+"I am sitting back down again..."

Run around in circles, flapping your elbows and make chicken/duck noises...

Sing "I am a little teapot" in various different voices...

Take off your shoes and put them on the different ends of your desk and if anybody asks tell them "I had to separate them, they kept fighting"

Go around and see if a PC is unlocked with the email application open and send strange messages to your friends...

Organise a rolling chair race through the office...

If anybody asks you to do something ask him/her if he/she wants fries with that/Medium or Large Meal

Make a paperclip chain in a shared paperclip holder...

Walk past the photocopier and put the number of copies to 100.

Ah, the joys of work... I might have some more stuff, but I have to do some work now...

Evil critters make me work!!!!!

Temping hell? Bah.
Try working in the same place since 1998. It's a friggin miracle I'm alive. It's the longest I've stayed in the same place ever.
But it pays well and A few years back I had six months leave to travel, thanks to understanding boss. But that was a once-opportunity.

Now I'll try some of Pardus's office tips.

Damn the employers they gave me work to do

Oh my god greta that sounds like my worst mightmare. Seriously. I can't cope with routine at all! You are so lucky to be still here. That deserves a big round of applause

Thanks.
It comes with age I guess, needing that lovely check every month, and knowing I'll be able to afford some holidays...

But I send applause back to all you temp workers!
Temping is good in a way, but finally it got to me to be forced to promote myself all the time. And never being able to having holidays when everyone else (my friends) had them. And never having money enough to travel.;)

Life as a temp is fun. Nobody takes u seriously and when u screw up your work, people see that as something expected. U dont have to worry about job security like your full-time counterparts becos there's nothing to begin with. But hey, if u give it your best shot like your life depends on it, u'd be surprised to see the many doors opening up.

Temp is cool at your stage, enjoy while it lasts.
