I've got a job in Madrid for July and August this summer with a telephone interviewing company and i was wondering what the best thing to do about accomodation is. Should i stay in a hostel for the two months or should i try and find a room in a house or anything like that. Does anyone know of any places i could look for accomodation or any organisations in Spain that could help me out once i got there. I know Madrid along with Barceloan are the most expensive cities in Spain but i dont want to spend too much money on accomodation. I would like somewhere that isnt too far out s i wont have a car, although having been to Madrid befor i rate the metro quite highly. Also, i am a British citizen with a British passport. Any advice/info much appreciated

Hi, I think I just answered your question about getting to Alcobendas! My flatmate and I wanted someone to rent one of our rooms over the summer, as we both have travel plans, but want to keep the apartment for next year. If your interested in more info let me know.

I spent a couple of weeks in Madrid in 2003. We tried a number of hostels. Some better then others, but all were pretty clean, and the price was pretty good.

The metro system is awesome in Madrid. It was very easy to navigate, and didn't take long to get to my destinations.
