Hey Reece, you're mate is lucky to have a buyer. 7 months and no joy for me. When i saw you had space on your trip for 1 more i was deeply frustrated that my house isn't sold yet!!! I've dropped the asking price today. The estate agents think i'm a lunatic and insist it was on at the right price before, but i don't want to hang around here forever for the sake of a couple of grand.

Hope it goes smoothly for and your mate anyway.

Thanks dave and likewise mate i hope you sell yours soon to.
I sold mine in january and had real problems with the estate agent i intially had it for sale with. They ddint seem to care at all.
After having it on the market with them for 2 or 3 months and no luck i decided to change estate agents and wow the difference was unbelievable.
They meant business and put the price back up after i had become so frustrated and lowered it before.Within a week or two the offers were flooding in.

If you have waited 7 months something cant be right mate.Either the price was to high or the estate agents are not selling the property to people.

My mate didnt go through an estate agent at first and found a guy who was intertested but that guy was in a long chain.
I told him to get it on the open market and forget about the estate agent making money on it and just do it.As soon as the estate agent had it in the window he had an offer but this guy buying it is a muppet.
Hes stalling for some reason and its making the 3 of us angry.

Stressed? You? Really now, reece... aparently at 31 you should be out "getting a life" and not posting your day away on some silly little website. And you should most certainly be asking strangers to put you up for free room and board rather than trying to sell your hard-earned home and make your own way in the world.

Tsk, tsk! For shame!

I know a little 3 room place where you can hide out in Montreal...

I won't wipe your bum, but for a 3 year vacation and $50,000 - I'll share my cocktail onions with you... Maybe you need to hire one of "those" guys (the ones with the badly bent noses, lots of tats and a big baseball bat) to put pressure on your friend's buyer. Bet those papers would be signed, sealed and delivered in a New York minute! (Then you'll need to hide out in Montreal!)

You do? I wanna know! No, seriously, it'd be great to have a place of my own (I currently live with the parents, sigh). My French is pathetic, but if the rent is cheap, maybe I can get by.
