Hey,

Just wondering why it is so expensive just to travel from Paris to somewhere like Marseille in france. It said it was about £54 (over $100 usd).

Do you think this seems like a lot of money?

Thanks,
RR

It's expensive to travel around Europe. The trains cost a lot and gas is 2 to 3 times more expensive than it is here in the US. If you want to stick to your budget, you're gonna have to stay in a relatively small area. If you travel too many long distances, it's gonna cost you.

I know it is expensive for petrol, i live in the UK which is the most expensive place to buy it from.

I plan to go travelling for 7 weeks travelling to a different place roughly every 4-5 days. But of course i'll stay longer in places i really like or really interesting places.

But if i buy an all zone inter-rail card it will be very cheap anyway.
