No fair! People will be able to talk about us (in front of our faces) and we won't have a clue as to what they are saying!!! CC, I think we need a set of translation dictionaries from around the world!

According to a free translation engine on the web, травзппзрспоинт means travzppzrspoint. Which probably means travellerspoint...

Who knows.

Quoting Peter

You weren't here for the 15 minutes that we were down then were you ;)

I was, you had a post that looked like it was in Arabic or Hebrew or something, then it said the system was being upgraded and then afterwards, your mysterious post was gone.

Yep, that was a bit of a stuff up actually I accidentally switched over to the new database without pulling down the site for maintenance. In those 30 seconds or so, I hope no-one added any threads, messages, etc, because they would now be lost forever.

Other than that, everything went smoothly it seems and downtime was slightly less than expected. Would you believe the main thing that took time was opening the database dump in Notepad (yes, you read that right) and saving it in UTF-8 format! Glad to have it over and done with - this has been keeping me busy for several weeks now!
