You guys are making me spit saltine cracker crumbs all over my keyboard!!!! (Hope my space bar doesn't start to stick...)

Bubba, thee's always more than just chocolate cake in this house... (No Aylesbury though.) Operation Isa has a lot of things that require funding. That rent check won't go to waste. Nor will the chocolate cake. Ever had Dolma??? (Time to widen your tastebud's horizons.)

Isa what on earth is dolma?

27. Posted by Isadora (Travel Guru 13926 posts) 11y

Dolma in Armenian - Dolmata in Greek
They are a grape leaf stuffed with ground beef and/or lamb, diced tomatoes, onion, rice and seasonings. Like stuffed cabbage leaves but NO comparison when it comes to flavor. They are eaten with a plain yogurt which has been seasoned with fresh garlic - served either on top or on the side. They are wonderful seved warm or cold. You have to have homemade ones the first time (and all the time), the store bought are awful. I haven't tasted a decent processed one yet!

But, there's always the midwestern Lutheran meal (pronounced "Lude-er-in" in states such as Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, etc. Also known as white food cos everything is a dingy shade of white): baked/fried pork chops, boiled potatoes, cream gravy and corn.
