...but I've gone and booked my vacation for October already. Yippee! Special thanks to all those who suggested Zoom Airlines - their prices are amazing! So far, it looks like this:

  • get to Toronto somehow
  • fly Toronto to Belfast
  • leave Belfast for Caen (flight and ferry still to book)
  • stay in Caen and visit D-day beaches
  • fly home from Paris

Is anyone else an early booker? I can't help it. I'm of the mindset that:

a) everybody else may well be clamoring to get those tickets (b*st*rds!)
b) just knowing you're going on vacation is like a vacation in itself

What's your excuse?

your crazy

I've been known to reserve 4 or 5 months in advance. However, when I do it, it's because I want to leave during HIGH season and cannot be flexible on dates. October flight to Belfast is not exactly high season; so yes, Tina, I'd call you crazy. ;)

You're crazy. LOL.

Still, better early than last-minute, I guess.

I didn't know I was going to need one.... Damn, there's no one around to sign it for me!

Congrats on the booking! Nothing wrong with getting that part out of the way - one less thing to worry about. Now, it's going to be, "How many outfits did I think I could bring?!"

You go girl!!!
I have had vacations planned (tickets bought, entirely thought out) up to a year in advance....and I have done the...hmmmmm think I'll hop on a plane tomorrow thing. Planning too far ahead drove me nuts! (Took too long for the day to get here!) I think you have it down pat!

Ok, OK, so I'm crazy! But it also means that should an unexpected project pop up at work, I can do the palms-up-shake-my-head "sorry, I've already got my tickets!" thing.

Yeah, that's it.
