Good luck on that one. I'm adventuresome, but 5 years living in a tent and surviving on nature is a little much for me .

ok you don't have to do the whole trip a piece is fine by me...
:)
ok it is not always living in a tent something with friends or just in open air...

I just hope youve thousands of friends ,id hate for you to get to China in the depths of winter and find that theres not so many kind people to give you a place to stay. Not sure theres so many people around the world who'd easily let a stranger stay at their place.Id bring a credit card with a million dollar credit limit just in case.

Best of luck with the trip though

Hi Till,

I'm interested in making such a trip myself and I'm curious as to what kind of gear you're going to bring???? Also check out my friends website who is doing a similar journey from Alaska to Chile. http://www.projekt-horizont.de/

He was very inspiring. And had quads of steel!!

i am taking a really good tent that is not to heavy (1 or 2 kilograms) a light sleeping bag and a sleeping sheet, my backpack
then i will take my mediacal box along, some cloths, washing material, a little cooking/ eat pot, and hings to light a fire en some stuff to catch my food with like a hook and fishing stuff en some extra hiking boots, and some runners, drinking cans or bottles
and that is all
