Here, we just squirt ketchup on the burger and slather mayo on the bun. Saves getting a bowl dirty to mix the two. Add a slice of tomato, slice or two of pickle, a squirt of mustard and a piece of lettuce - viola - A California burger.

Mix the two, add some chopped pickle and onion - viola - Thousand Island salad dressing.

Ketchup and may are sooooooo versatile!!!!!

Yeah, but it's sooooo good!

Serious question, Matt. When you mention mince, what exactly is that?

We have a product called mince meat - here's our version:

Mincemeat

Mincemeat was originally a medieval (England) sweet, spicy mixture of chopped (minced) lean meat (usually beef, or beef tongue), suet and fruit. It was generally served as an entree. Gradually the meat content was reduced, and today the mixture contains nuts, dried fruit (raisins, apples, pears, citrus peel, etc.), beef suet, spices and brandy or rum, but no beef.  Mincemeat is used primarily in pies and tarts.

Mince = minced meat. Mincemeat in the UK is used for the raisin stuff only. I learned that the hard way!

I like salad with anchovies myself. Not really "crazy grub" but a lot of people are turned off by those salty fish.

I hope it doesn't contain all the things ours does - dried fruits and nuts - if you are making bolognese. Sounds like interesting stuff though. Does it come in packages (like at the butcher's), boxes, jars, or cans?

I've never crossed the pond so I don't know these things!
