Hay-glad you posted this-i went to the doctors and he prescribed something to stop periods for when i go away next week-but i dont want to take it so i'm not-haha!

I was saying to him about stopping periods for when i go away for a month but he didnt seem keen on this saying that you shouldnt stop fro that long blah, blah, blah...you know the score-perhaps i shouldnt have been so honest eh!

So does the pill-when taken constantly, stop them altogether??

if it does with everyone then this is what i plan to do!

It does if you don't take the 'sugar'pills part of the pack, and immeadiately start the next pack. But there is a certain type of pill that you take to keep from having periods (only 4 periods a year)
http://www.seasonale.com/ Every study shows they are safe for the short term (no longer than 10 years) Hope it helps! :)

Quoting isadora

I'm just waiting for the reversal of Roe vs. Wade - our right to abortion law. They have already done it for the partial birth abortion, which is not a nice, neat procedure, but necessary in some medical instances. It was presented as though they were performed routinely in clinics - which wasn't the case, nor even close to the truth. But, people are sheep...

So anyone who doesn't agree with your ignorant comments are branded sheeps?

The sooner they reverse that decision the better. It's the right of a woman to keep her legs closed if she's concerned with getting pregnant. Once she becomes pregnant, her rights have to be shared with her unborn child.

I haven't read any of the other posts on this thread but when I clicked "last post" I read your post. I think the word "ignorant" is totally off base. Isadora may have an opinion that you don't agree with but it's not an ignorant opinion. People are passionate about both sides of the arguement, but her opinion is far from ignorant.

If someone calls another person a "sheep" because that other person has an opinion that differs from yours, then yes you are ignorant.

I didn't think it was rocket science but maybe I was wrong...

I see by your profile that you are 5 yrs.old. That makes sense. I guess incest and rape don't figure into your perfect little picture?
In a perfect world there would never be a need for abortion, but this isn't a perfect world now is it? You make decisions for your body and I will make them for mine. Lawmakers have no place in the doctor/patient picture.

If you read the sentence above (that I was refering to) you'll see that you say the "comments are ignorant." (not that the comment about being branded a sheep for not agreeing with her opinion was ignorant).

"If someone calls another person a "sheep" because that other person has an opinion that differs from yours, then yes you are ignorant."

This last post says something different and makes sense.

That's exactly the way I feel. It's a girl's individual right to choose. Noone else business.

Take your cheap shots at me if it makes you feel better (which it obviously does).

There are a couple of hundred thousand abortions performed in the US every year. These aren't the result of rape and incest. The vast majority of these are abortions on demand by people who should have known better than to get pregnant in the first place. Don't give me this "rape and incest" rubbish as though it's the norm.

Lawmakers most certainly have a place in many doctor/patient relationships, abortion being just one of them.

You're free to make decisions regarding your body all you like, but you're talking about making decisions on someone else's body; that of a defenceless unborn child.

There are many, many forms of birth control - try practising one, and if you stuff up then deal with the consequences.

All rights, no responsibilities.
