This morning I heard an add on a Dublin radio station advertising travel insurance for Irish and UK residents. You will find it at www.ecover.ie
I hope it’s useful. Works out at €199 for me for the year. Alternatively if you are in the VHI it will cost you an extra €20 per year on top of what you are currently paying (per year.) Might also be a good option.
