Quoting grink

just checking your profile-so you're from brazil-ive actually got a female friend who is in your country at the moment and has been travelling alone for a few months now and plans another 6 months-i dont actually think that her life is at as much risk as you like to think. Its great to get useful advice but this seems to be unsubstantiated and unhelpful for a lot of us.

Grace,

Make sure that your Mother doesn't read this forum.

I fully recommend travelling alone, for both girls and boys. I myself did it a lot. When I put the subject here I only intended to show that it’s a great thing to let the eyes wide open in some circumstances.

According to the criminal those girls gave him space [although most of the things he said about them is probably a total lie, and unfortunately they aren't here to tell their histories]. I just can’t understand how come those girls could trust such a weird type [he really had the so-called physique du rôle of a madman].

Once I heard a simple - but great - advice from an old lady in a bar: “Scammers and nuns are out there for everyone who want to see them, so COMMOM SENSE is alway welcome.”

sure, now that you've clarified yourself its easier to see that you're only trying to suggest that people use their common sense-which is a given when travelling. Who can be sure what happened to those girls-its just very unfortunate.

why is everyone so defensive? *wonders*
because it was percieved to be heightening the females' stereotypical vulnerability? ohwell. =]
doesnt harm to have someone dish a non naggering advice here and there. cheers. thats a naggy nick eitherways.
its intimidating for a small (age & physically) asian girl to want to travel eitherways. thats a reality. ohwell.
have many lovely days ahead of you!
