Yesterday I've seen "Interpreter" - quite interesting!
And my favourite is romantic "Amelie Poulain"... like everything in this movie - the work of art directors is perfect!

Sin City (mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, and my favorite Brit Clive Owen) should be included in this thread, as well as Million Dollar Baby (hillary Swank), Ju-On (The Grudge), A Tale of Two Sisters, Hero(Jet Lee), and So Close (I love Shu Qui)..

I think Batman Begins should be a must-see . You can all ignore the riff-raff that is Katie Holmes, and just concentrate on Christian Bale! ;)

Speaking of Christian Bale, I saw American Psycho for the first time at the wknd. It certainly wasnt a bad movie, but I'm not sure its a must see....but he was great as a psycho!! I nearly felt like going out to see Batman Returns again so I would have nicer images of him in my head going to bed.

For a must see movie: THE HOURS. I watched it for about the millionth time last night. I love it. Might even become one of my top ten.....

'The Straight Story' - absolutely amazing movie...

Very slow movie, but full of atmosphere and great dialogues. A lot of subtext and great acting. There is so much more in the scene than what they actually say.

This man is my idol for getting old. When I am old I want to be just like him!

Yes, very slow movie, but absolutely true...life is a bit slower out here in the sticks.....or shall we say "the pastoral life..."

I thought you wanted to be just like Beerman when you got old?

Just watched the Robert Rodriguez Mariachi trilogy (again)...El Mariachi, Desperado, Once Upon a Time in Mexico. Great stuff, filled with love, morality, justice, and voluminous amounts of carnage.

I should really get down to watching American Psycho.

samsara, agree with you about The Hours. I thought it was really freaky. Nicole Kidman was really good in there!!
