Yes I have seen this movie & enjoyed it. Actually enjoy anything with Pacino in it really. Particularly liked Scent of a Woman.

How about Closer with Clive Owen & Julia Roberts have you seen that. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Wild at Heart - Nic Cage or Leaving Las Vegas

I also like anything with Al Pacino and liked Scent of a Woman very much. Also saw Wild at Heart and Leaving Las Vegas. Ii really didn't like Leaving Las Vegas, pretty depressing and I didn't think it was as good as many people seemed to think.

Haven't seen Closer yet, but now that it's on dvd, I will rent it and check it out. Not only do I like Julia Roberts but I'm a big Natalie Portman fan also.

Speaking of Julia Roberts that reminds me of another movie I really enjoyed:

Erin Brockovich (2000)

Have you seen that one?

Couple others, definitely not classics but I really liked these 2:

Catch Me If You Can (2002) I found this movie to be very entertaining and fun to watch. And the fact that it's based on a true story makes it even better.

The Bourne Identity (2002) Lots of action. I enjoyed the European scenes. Exciting , fun movie that is never slow moving.

Anyone also like either of these?

Just thought of another Irish (supplement to my post on movies with Irish connections) movie I saw recently and liked alot:

Micheal Collins (1996) with Liam Neeson and Julia Roberts. I like movies based on history, then it's like I'm learning something while I'm being entertained. This movie kept my interest throughout and I'd recommend it.

I promise this will be my last post on this thread for at least "a little" while. I guess you can tell I'm a big movie fan as well as a traveler .

Anyway, I really enjoyed:

The Thomas Crown Affair (1999). Found it to be very entertaining. Kept my interest trying to figure out who was scamming who, etc.. Also thought the chemisty between Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo was excellent. Very enjoyable, light film.

Yeah sure, we believe you!!!

Have seen all of those except Michael Collins & yes enjoyed them all.
Know what you mean about Bourne Identity & Europe, I enjoyed Mission Impossible shot in Prague..

Being a Kiwi, I have to know if you've seen the Lord of the Rings Trilogy?

Thanks for all the tips, I have to compile them all into a list.

I can hardly keep up reading all the posts, I had 51 notifications in my hotmail account for 3 threads....

Yes, I did see The Lord Of The Rings, and I really liked it, although I didn't like the Return Of The King very much. It just wasn't as dark as in the Book. But the scenery was just stunning and I loved what they did - making it look real and build real sets in the scenery rather than using CGI. And they put a great group of actors together (apart from twoin the main cast, but I won't mention names here.)

Who? I didn't care for Sean Austin's acting and Frodo was a little too over the top...but other than that, I thought they did an excellent job!!

Quoting Pardus

I just got a couple of movies out yesterday and watched "Sunshine of the Spotless mind" and I really like it. I have to put down my comments a bit later on in detail (there's great stuff in it, I like the way the story is told), I might even start a review page on my website.

I LOVED that movie. Now there's a romantic story if I ever saw one.

I liked this one too. The chemistry between Brosnan and Russo was definitely sizzling!

I didn't see The Bourne Identity, but I'd recommend The Bourne Supremacy. Pretty suspensful stuff, and the action scenes were well done.

Pardus, you like Kurosawa films as well? Have you seen Stray Dog?
