Hi,
I heard that there is a website where you can scan your passport and tickets etc so that if they get lost then you can access them online. Does anybody know what this website is called as I have forgotten it!

Many thanks!

You could create a blog of your own and do this OR otherwise store the documents in one of your own email accounts

You are probably referring to the ekit website. I am guessing ekit.com but otherwise a search in google should reveal :)

Be careful when you upload stuff that it's properly secured though... in principle of course you could send yourself an email with the things as attachments but those logins are rarely secured so could be cracked...

I don't know about websites like that, but what I do is to photocopy my passport & travel documents, and give one copy to my parents, and keep one set for myself when I travel (I am paranoid enough to bring more than one set along). That way if something goes wrong (god forbid!), at least I have some backup.

I do the same as summer.. well, I can't remember whether I gave my parents a copy as well. We take two copies of all the important documents with us (in two seperate bags). Never needed it so far, but it would be invaluable in case of an emergency! Highly recommended. Mind you, the scanned, stored version is a pretty good idea as well !! That way even if you get mugged and all your bags are stolen, you still have some sort of copy - even though you do have to find an internet connection to get to it. E-kit is the only one I know of as well. There may be others though.

...in two seperate bags.

That's the important part. I had a friend that photocopied their passport, air tickets, etc. and then put the photocopies in the same passport case as everything else .

Well, I always scan my Passport, and flight ticket before travelling, and then I send that passport-canned-file to my own email. By that way, I can retrieve it very easily even when I lost my luaggae.
I also make 2 copy of pasport and flight ticket. I keep one set keep in the back-pack and the other in the small bag I always bring with myself.
That is my own experience
