zachary has indicated that this thread is about Thailand

So I was in Bangkok 6 weeks ago and I came back home to the USA with NOTHING from Thailand :( no souvineers or anything! I am going back to Bangkok on June 1st and this time I want to bring back some souvineers for family and stuff, anybody know of some good things I can bring them?

Bangkok is a centre for Asia's silk industry.
If you have any family or friends that would appreciate the raw material, that would be good. Or a made-to-measure dress for a lady would go down very well I think!

1) some jewelleries (necklace, ring) you can get em cheap there e.g. silver, precious stones, beads

2) artificial handicrafts (e.g thai dance drama / theater mask, buddhism mural, lacquerware etc)

wouldnt suggest buying huge ceramic or pottery unless you can be damn sure they wont break during the transit or whatever
