also, i'd love to hitup costa rica sometime within the year, maybe i'll have to ask ya advice then ;)

Costa Rica is great fun. How long are you going for?

Drop me a message when you are off to Costa Rica and I'll help any way I can. I;ve travelled all over the country when I used to work for teh travel agency so I know a lot of places and I should be able to suggest some places to visit, and some good places to stay.

I wonder if theres anything that could be done to encourage more ppl to use the chat.

That would be nice. Why don't you start a thread in the "System Talk" forum, asking about how to get chat going or something like that. Others probably feel the same way and maybe the suggestions would spark more interest in "chat."

I do remember one person suggesting that it would be nice to know who's online (when they are at TP), that would probably help facilitate chat.

Hey Lucy,

I can see traveling Coasa Rica and Ecuador but didn't you feel as though Columbia was kinda of dangerous? Where did you go in Columbia? Did you travel there alone?

Thanks for the suggestion. I've started a new thread, so hopefully people will come up with some ideas.

Hey Lucy,

I travelled there alone, and visited Bogota, Cali and Medellin along with a few other places.

I loved Columbia and I'll be going back this summer. I never felt particulary unsafe there. I think like anywhere you have to be carful about where you go and how you behave, and in columbia more so than other places but I didn't feel like I was ever in any serious danger.

I always think that bad things happen to people that do stupid things, and this is true in Columbia, like anywhere else. If you go wandering around covered in jewelry or with an expensive camera etc. then you are going to get mugged. If you go into an area that you have been warned is unsafe and get attacked then really it is your own fault. But if you are careful then you can have a great time and Columbia is a wonderful country to visit. The people are so friendly and it has a great atmosphere.

That would be my downfall :(

I take it you're a great photography fan. Maybe you would just have to make do with a cheap camera for a little while. :)

Is Spanish easier to learn than English?

Cheers
Wocca

I've started a new thread in the General Talk forum for anyone else who has an opinion on this. People seeem to think different things. Does anyone think that there is another language which is even easier to learn.

I'm learning russian at the moment, and that is definately not easier. :)
