It seems a shame that there are so many members but no one ever seems to use the live chat. Is there anything we could do to get more people chatting?

maybe some kind of contest?

set a time as to when we need to chat...like weekly chat session at 1PM GMT or something so everyone knows about it in advance and would login to chat knowing that others would too

I think it might be a good idea to be able to see whether any of the travel helpers were available online for live chat. That way if you wanted help about a certain country you could chat to someone about it rather than having to spend days exchanging messages.

Time differences seem to be a significant factor. There are some members from North America that like chatting, as well as some from the British Isles (particularly Ireland).

Those of us in Asia & Oceania are in a completely different time zone.

I like the idea of having one once a week! We just need to work out what time We probably should have two sessions 12 hours apart so there's always a feasible time.

Our busiest days are Monday and Tuesday, but this would largely be due to the travel planning that goes on while people are at work! So, maybe that's not actually the best time to chat. Any days that people might prefer? I'm thinking maybe Sundays. 8AM & 8PM GMT.

I think its a good idea to set a time to chat. Maybe the administrators could set up a survey to find out what times people want to set?

Hmm, my last post was meant as a sort of survey

But to be more scientific, people could answer these three questions:

1. Are you likely to join an organised chat?
2. What day suits you best?
3. What time of that day suits you best?

1. I don't understand what you mean by 'organized'?
2. All days
3. Anytime

(and yes I just realized this is of absolutely no use to you;))
