Okay, bringing this thread back on topic :)

1. Are you likely to join an organised chat?
2. What day suits you best?
3. What time of that day suits you best?

1. Of course :)
2. Uhm, Wednesday or Thursday evenings or during the day (Europe time)
3. Generally during the day or specific evenings on weekdays. In the weekends, at random times so that's not going to be much good...

1. No probably not.It will get to hectic and you will miss messages and you will be constantly typing.

2. Any day

3. I cant see time working either as when some people are on here others are in bed or working and everyones lifestyle is different.

I notice that things are kind of slow on the forums on the weekends. Why do you think that is? I would think people would have more time to be surfing the net, etc.. Maybe people do other things on the weekend. But I've definitely noticed that there fewer posts and activity on Sat. & Sun. compared to the weekdays.

Sorry it's not totally back on topic (ie-answering the survey), but it's a lot more on topic than it was .

1. Yes!
2. Mon - Fri (unless I/we know ahead of time it will be on a weekend)
3. 6am - 6pm US time (evenings are "movie time" and bedtime is 9pm)

Jeff - I have thought about this too. The theory that I subscribe to is the changing of the seasons. That is, the weather is warming, more outdoor activities are taking place (sports, yard work/gardening, day at the beach, etc), and people are beginning their travels. It is the start of "vacation season" in the US (as you know) so people's energies are being focused on things other than the internet. Which would you rather do - surf the internet or surf the ocean? (Isa raises hand for second option...) As summer and autumn wind down, internet activity will pick up again because it is getting colder, the days shorter and people tend to cocoon. But, I could be UTTERLY & COMPLETELY WRONG! (That's my story and I'm stickin' to it...)

It's actually pretty standard that internet traffic is 30% higher during the week compared to the weekends. It might shift a little depending on time of year and more so, the type of website, but in general this holds true for most sites. Monday and Tuesday are generally the busiest days without doubt.... whoever said people don't use the internet at work ??? :)

I like the idea of having one once a week! We just need to work out what time We probably should have two sessions 12 hours apart so there's always a feasible time.

Abang Peter, good!

I think Hien and Jared seem quite free on weekends...so do I. May meet up again in the chatroom.
