In Kuala Lumpur at present, brilliant place. Right getting from A to B. emmm, ok there is a train that runs from Butterworth to K.L and all the way through to Singapore. K.L to singapore is about 4-5 hours, you could also catch the bus from K.L to Singapore. Things are pretty much more organised and efficient out here then you'd expect. K.L for example has a shopping centre called Time Square, it has a roller coaster (a theme park) on one of the floors. Malaysian Government have purpose built a government city on the outskirts of K.L you have to visit this place - visionary! Its called Putra Jaya. In short getting around in this region is a piece of piss. K.L and Singapore are similar the main difference, K.L has kept most of its historical buildings, heritage in tact, Singapore hasnt. Oh another thing, read the thread about not planning, and i'd say its alway good to plan, this is a saying of mine - failing to plan, is planning to fail. If you have a plan it can be improvised. You and you partner have either been given, borrowed or saved up some money to come out here so why not plan how you intend on spending that money and your time out here, things will not alway go according to plan, but at least have one right?

ps you're in the travel business you know what I mean. People plan theie 2 week holiday in ibiza, even though all they plan on doing is getting drunk...why not plan this, its atleast 3 - 9 months...

Take it easy
