I went to the doctors today to start getting my injections and she recommended that I enquire into getting vaccinated against Japanese B Encephalitis.

I will be travelling in Taiwan, China (inc. Yunnan Province) and Northern Vietnam between mid September and early November. Do you think it will be neccesary?

Also anyone thats had it done in the past how much did it cost per injection? Thanks in advance.

yes, if you are going to rural areas where encephalitis is endemic - otherwise just protect yourself against mosquitos

Having been hospitalised for Encephalitus in Oz for 5 days a few years back, I say have the jab no matter what the cost if you are going to be in areas where its a possibility.. it is not a fun illness!
