The story of Schapelle Corby is not all that unfamiliar. Like her, I travelled from Australia to Indonesia and experienced problems with baggage. Ms Corby arrived and discovered a bag full of drugs, whereas I arrived in Indonesia and found not the same, but nothing at all. My baggage containing valuable documents disappeared while in the care of the airline without a trace. Perhaps we were both victims of an elaborate conspiracy. The responsible party in this case was Silk Air. One might ask who was better off, Ms Corby or myself. We have suffered at the hands of others and this is an injustice of scandalous proportions. My experience with the airline suggested lack of care and poor security. Travellers are advised to take note of how things can turn horribly wrong in similar circumstances and carefully select a carrier. Now, I would not fly again with the same airline because of what had happened and the treatment post incident, which was, in my option, a disgrace. Notwithstanding, I was fortunate, I did not to receive a life sentence.
I'd deinitely say you were MORE FORTUNATE than her. Everything is relative.
Did she also fly into Bali on Silk Air?
Did she get a life sentence? Last time I checked she was up for the Death Penalty or Life Sentence or I was hoping she would be proven innocent. Has she actually been sentenced?
Note that having one's luggage lost is commonplace-finding an extra 9 pounds of high grade marijuana added is not.
The woman is obviously guilty-who could pick up their bag and not notice that it was that much bulkier/heavier than it had been a few hours previous?
How can you even compare losing your luggage to what this girl is going through? She is being sentenced on Friday, not looking good for her at this stage, yes it has already been decided that it will be a life sentence not death. Oz government will step in if she gets life & try to get her transferred to Oz.
hopefully everything will work out okay for her..sometimes things can be so unfortunate
The story of Schapelle Corby...I did not to receive a life sentence
she gets 20 years & oz defence's goin to challenge it
Her Father is a convicted criminal who has spent more time in prison than out and is in prison now-her Brother is a convicted Drug Dealer-nice family!
Do you have something to back that up Sam? I have seen nothing of that mentioned anywhere....
After doing his a-levels my friend was travelling to SA on his way back he had coke planted on him and got a sentance in France, he was 19, and has only just got back.
What a scary and horrible thing to have happen to you!
