After doing his a-levels my friend was travelling to SA on his way back he had coke planted on him and got a sentance in France, he was 19, and has only just got back.

What a scary and horrible thing to have happen to you!

He was someone you actually know personally? I've seen a couple movies where this type of thing occers but to actually know someone. wow, how long of sentence did he get?

There are some really amazing stories (ways people can get things through security, unique ways of getting things into/out of the country) But 99% of the time, it is sheer stupidity! I can not believe the dumb things people will try (of course thinking they are the only ones that ever thought of it... which only makes it even more ridiculous!)

Yea, I guess it is hard to figure out a new place to hide stuff. Any website that decribes such funny or unique smuggling methods? I'd like to hear some of those stories.

I agree, If I ever need to smuggle anything, I'm gonna give you a call for some "tips" first.

People will 'faint' while walking through the walk through metal detectors..(the ensuing commotion usually means they don't get checked)I have seen razor knives on arms and legs, COVERED with fake skin (TSA Standard operating procedures tells them not to touch uncovered skin) I've seen cruifixs that conceal knives, cell phones that had detonators in them. An inflatable matress what had explosives in the battery compartment. Shoes with heels hollowed out for drugs. You wouldn't believe the places people will hide drugs...if you get my drift;) But the absolute best stories come from border patrol...people concealed INSIDE dashboards, tied to the underbody of cars...that roof on the car that looks a little off? Had an almost two inch hidden ceiling that was filled with herion, people INSIDE of large truck tires (ON a truck...BP wondered why the man was driving so slow)....the list is literally endless....
