Hi!

We are thinking to go to Great Britain and Ireland with caravan. But we are not sure how is it, if you park caravan on parking (or something like that) and to stay ther over night and next time to go around. Is this illegal or not? What about in France, Spain and Portugal is it illegal or not? Tell me please anything you know!!!

Thanks!

Hi,

I traveled in Spain by van 3 tears ago. There is a lot of camp sites but yoy can wild camp too. It is not legal but you can do it until 3 times. First time the police is comming to you , they only notice you car number and say you is illegal . Second time too. 3 time they ask you arround 45 euros for the wild camp.

If not in Bulgaria, where I am from, you can wild camp for free and it is legal. If not you can try this too : a cheap camp in Varna ta the Black Sea coast:

Tali,
In the UK some places have signs saying you cannot park overnight but lots of people find places to park off the main motorways/roads.It depends where you are going really.
In the scottish highlands people are always parking their campervans overnight to sleep in.
The only other thing you can do is find a registered caravan park site where you can use showers and electricity but im not sure how much they charge.
