Hi guys!

I'm embarking on my trip on Friday. Got some butterflies in my stomach. Don't know if it's fear or excitement!

Anyhooo...

We arrive in Malaysia by air and were told we would be issued visa's on arrival.

From Malaysia we are going to Thailand but will be crossing the border by land. Will we be issued Thai visa's at a land border or should I get one at the Thai Embassy/Consulate in Kuala Lumpur?

Then... in Bangkok we are supposed to be getting our visa's for Cambodia (land border crossing), Vietnam (land border crossing) and China (flying in). This is advice from our travel agent. Is this correct?

After China we're flying to Japan. What's the deal with a Japan Visa? Do we get them on arrival or do I have to arrange it beforehand?

Is there a website that I can get all this info from?

Thanks in advance.

~Sof :)

By the way,

I far as I know, you need to get the China & Vietnam Visa in advance. Thailand is no problem. Japan (less than 90 days) you don't need a visa (if you're Australian). Cambodia I know you can get on arrival at the airport 9not sure about land crossing, although it's usual the same as the airport arrival).

You can get the Vietnam visa in Bangkok. It will probably take a few days. When I got my Vietnam visa I had to tell them the exeact border and day I would be entering and leaving. So Vietnam Visa can be a bit of a hassel.

So definitely look into getting China & Vietnam visas in advance.

Good luck Sof! The time has finally arrived heh? Anyway, I know you cant get the Vietnamese visa by land. You have to get it before hand and you can get it while you are in Cambodia. It will cost about $30. You will have no problem getting this while you are there. The Cambodian visa you can get by land (Poipet or Battam.) or if you arrive at the aiport ($20). For the Thai visa, you should have no problem.

I am Vietnamese travel agent, do not worried you can get visa at entry of cause it is more expensive than normal but less time.
