Quoting ChIqUiTtA

I suppose it depends on our own personal experiences...
...and sure, i am naive compared to some, considering i haven't travelled nearly as much as i would like to, but aren't there good and bad people EVERYwhere you go?

...or is it just my imagination?!

Chiquita, saw your travellog, impressing!!!.......I only saw France and Italy (let alone another continent) till the time I was 16!!!

But what I meant is that people are always interested in foreigners and especially Americans (and so also Canadians, same accent!!!), offcourse because of American television shows and soaps/comydies. But I found out that when I went for holyday to Spain, France or Italy that people were never as kind as in Asia. In Asia (and I guess South-America and Africa as well) are the people much more open-minded and much more looking for contact. There is much more communication between people on the streets there. In Europe everyone lives more like individuals and there is contact only when necessary, live is fast in Europe and many people are too stressed to be kind (that's my opinion, offcourse there are exceptions)
