Hello @ all,

I´m planning to go from Posadas to Salta. Which is the best route ?
A friend of mine recommand me , a route over Asuncion/Paraguay.
But I prefer to go over Corrientes/Resistencia.

Are there a conection by train from Salta to Buenos Aires ?

other quetion: Hotel in Posadas

the Maryland Hotel is far a away from the city. It´s torecomand anyway ? The website makes a good impression.
i stayed at the City Hotel on the last time.

I had to make the same decision when I was there! I decided to stick in Argentina as you know what you're getting with the buses! Since then I've heard some horror stories about bus journeys in Paraguay. However, the choice is yours!

If you stop in Corrientes the sunset over the river is worth seeing but don't go out of your way for it. As for Resistencia, I can't really comment as most things were closed when I was there. Enjoy Salta incl the fab new museum on the ice mummies in the Plaza de Armas.

There is a national parque roughly south of Corrientes. You have to access it via Mercedes but it is definitely worth it. Lots of alligators, birds, capybaras, monkeys and snakes (if you are lucky).
You need to have plenty of time though. The name of the park is: Reserva Provincial Ibera del Esteros.

For any of the cities you mentioned. Don't bother unless you like shopping.

The south of Paraquay is nice as well with ruins at Trinidad and Jesus.

I prefer to travel in Argentina.
I´ll go to Paraguay to meet People. But not to go on vaccacion.

I ´ve been to Paraguay (ASU, Luque,Encarnacion, Ciudad del Este y Colonidas Unidas ) last Year. Well it´s interesting and an another experience to get to know a foreign country.
But I miss some comfort there, if I m on vaccacion.`
